The other dominant theme is deregulation. While in this issue we give a summary of Johanna Plante's Sydney speech on the history and future of deregulation (with a special focus on Australia), in the next issue, Janet Yale will write about telecom regulation in Canada. Finally, we have an interview with Susan Mirbach on the challenges she meets as President Belgacom North America. A happy holiday season and a successful 1998 to you all. The GTWN will hold a 10th Anniversary Breakfast Roundtable during ITU Telecom World 2003 on Tuesday, October 14th, at the Hotel Intercontinental Geneva, from 07:30 AM. The Breakfast will feature special guest speaker, Dame Stephanie Shirley, Founder of Xansa and Founder in 2001 of the Oxford Internet Institute.
